'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League homecoming

Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his desire in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is presently two years through the four-year agreement he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the first major trophy of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he previously was, and would seriously think about extending his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
