This winter recruitment period proves to be a period of intense rumour and possible major transfers. A number of prominent players are being linked with transfers out of their current clubs. Here is a look at some of the top names who could be on the move in January.

Antoine Semenyo

Although the Black Stars' failure to reach the AFCON, this has kept the forward available, reports suggest a major move is imminent. The Bournemouth attacker possesses a deal with a £65 million release clause active for a short period at the start of the month. Recent developments suggest Manchester City are now the frontrunners for his signature. Former suitors such as Chelsea and Tottenham are said to have moved on to other targets, leaving teams like Manchester United or Liverpool to make a late move.

M. Guéhi

The English defender has impress for Palace this season a previous transfer to Liverpool falling through. With his contract set to run out in the close season, January is the club's last opportunity to obtain a fee for their captain. Kees Smit

The highly-touted Netherlands midfielder has earned parallels to Kevin De Bruyne for his style of play. After starring at the Under-19 European Championship, Smit has broken into the AZ Alkmaar side.
